About the Event

The Kerala Literature Festival (KLF) is an annual, non-exclusive literary event held on the Kozhikode Beach in Kerala, India, and is considered Asia’s largest literary festival. The 9th edition of the festival took place from January 22–25, 2026.

As part of the global celebrations marking 25 years of Wikipedia, the Wikimedia community in Kerala is organizing Wikipedia 25 celebrations in different places in India to reflect on Wikipedia’s journey, celebrate community contributions, and strengthen local participation in the free knowledge movement.

The event is celebrated along with the Kerala Literature Festival at Kozhikode Beach from January 21, 2026 to January 25, 2026.

This event brings together Wikimedians, open knowledge enthusiasts, students, educators, and the general public to celebrate Wikipedia’s impact in India and explore ways to contribute meaningfully to its future.
